The steps in this article were performed on the desktop version of the google chrome web browser, but will also work on other desktop browsers such as mozilla firefox or microsoft edge.
step 1: log in to your gmail account and click on the message you want to edit.
step 2: click the reply button.
Step 3 – Click the down arrow to the right of the reply arrow and choose the edit subject line option from the dropdown menu.
Step 4: Remove the current subject line from the subject field, then enter the new one.
