I’ve been raising my family on a budget for a long time. I had my first baby before I was 21 and I know the hustle and bustle of searching the internet for free samples just to get by each month.

It is entirely possible to find legitimate free samples online. I have and still do! The best thing about them is that you don’t even have to get up from the couch in your living room and most companies will send these gifts to you in the mail.

Most free samples require you to sign up for an email newsletter or fill out a short, simple form. some come with coupons, gift bags, and some require a little extra work, like taking surveys or paying a small shipping fee.

I wanted to make resources available to moms like me who are searching for all the samples. I hope this is a one stop shop for you to find all the samples online and that they help you out like they helped me!

There are so many surveys you can take that will earn you free samples, magazine subscriptions, and cash! many of them are easy to register and even easier to start earning rewards.

Since some of these samples are completely free, some are trial, and some require shipping costs, I’ve decided to simplify it into a table, so you can find exactly the samples you’re looking for!

other ideas to get free stuff

If you’re looking for ways to get samples beyond these online deals, here are some ideas for getting free stuff.

junk scavenging: Have you seen youtubers dig through the trash in high-end stores and homes to find awesome free stuff? if you haven’t looked it up… it’s fun to watch. I guess in certain states this is totally legal…and the finder’s guardians. Sometimes people leave large, valuable items next to their dumpsters and trash cans waiting for people to claim them. let me know in the comments if you’ve found free stuff this way.
metal detector search: Similar to dumpster searching, there’s a community of people who find things by searching With a metal detector do some research online to find out which areas near you are the best for metal detecting. you just might find some treasure.
facebook groups and online communities: volunteer, facebook mom groups/buy nothing groups (look them up on facebook), craigslist and nextdoor are great places to find free stuff. sometimes you can even post an iso (looking for) message in groups to let people know you’re looking for a certain item. many times in these groups people are willing to trade or give things away for free.
warehouse memberships: take advantage of the free samples they give away, usually on weekends, at your local warehouse stores. Find a great deal on a Costco Membership here and BJ Membership here. got samples of laundry detergent, garbage bags, formula, and diapers at costco that really helped our family.
yard sales – check out local yard and estate sales for free boxes of stuff people just want to get rid of.
Family Members: Do you know a family member or friend planning on moving or having a yard sale? ? ask him if you can be the first to do things he doesn’t want. this is a great way to get second hand clothes for your children. Let your family know you’re open to donations so they know they can offer.
Email Lists – Sign up for email lists from your favorite brands. sometimes they will send samples, especially baby companies like formula and diapers. either way, you’ll probably get discounts or some cool coupons.
swaps: It can be harder to find free stuff at swap meets, but you can usually find stuff pretty cheap And it’s handy when you’re on a tight budget!
bogo deals: Although you have to pay for bogo deals, you get something free in the end. sometimes this ends up being a great deal when you get things you were already planning on buying.
coupons: clip coupons from your local newspaper, magazines, and coupon sites. sometimes brands offer coupons for free products they want you to try.
giveaways: Entering sweepstakes and giveaways used to be my problem! I had a complete system that I would use to host my giveaways and enter every day. I would mainly use sweepstakes advantage. but, this is a great way to get free stuff. I won a washer and dryer, a guitar, cash, gift cards, and lots of giveaways.

How much money can I really save by getting free samples?

If you order all the samples I mentioned above and use the tips I’ve listed in this blog post, you can actually save quite a bit of money by getting free samples.
