- click settings (gear icon ) to the left of your profile picture.
- once you’ve clicked on settings, select view all settings.
- or, if you are already logged into your gmail account, just click here to visit your account settings page.
- click on the forwarding and pop/imap tab.
- Now, look at the pop download section.
- Next to the radio button that says enable pop for all mail, you should be able to see the date.
However, if you’ve never made changes to the pop/imap download settings and don’t have any of the radio buttons selected, you won’t be able to see any type of date like in my case. Also, you should be aware that you may see the date the pop & imap settings, and in such cases, it will not be the account creation date. rather, it will be the date the particular setting changed.

Now when you create a google account, you will already be signed in to many other google services, such as youtube, google maps, google calendar and other services. now, there is a way for you to see when you created your google account, but it will only show you the year you joined youtube, which is also the same year you created a google account.
- Using your favorite web browser, log in to youtube. make sure you’re logged in with the gmail account you want to check the creation date on.
- once you’re logged in, simply click on your profile picture to open a dropdown menu.
- click on your channel option.
- on the channel screen, just click on the about tab.
- below the stats, you will see the date Of income. sometimes it may not be correct and you may only see the year you joined.
Now of course this may not be correct all the time as youtube’s counting system just doesn’t work right and it takes a long time to update when it comes to counting views on videos. however, there is another method that could show you all the details and possibly even the time you created the account.
use google api to check account creation date
This is the last and one of the best methods to use if the previous methods didn’t work quite right for you. This method involves making use of Google APIs to get the necessary account details such as the date it was created and possibly even the time it was created. this is how you can check when the gmail account was created.
- first things first, go to the google api explorer page by clicking here.
- you will now be greeted with a window. make sure to check the google auth 2.0 and api key checkboxes.
- click the blue run button on your left after selecting both checkboxes.
- sign in now or select the desired google account.
- google api explorer will now ask you for permission to access your google account. click the blue allow button.
- now just scroll down a bit until you see the created time option. you will see the date and time the account was created. the date format is yyyy-mm-dd followed by the time displayed in 24-hour format that includes both seconds and milliseconds.
