But how can you stream from your Oculus headset? Quest 2 VR? to a Roku TV? This guide will show you everything you need to know.
Stream Oculus Quest 2 to your Roku TV
When you think about streaming your Oculus Quest 2 VR headset to a Roku TV, you will first need a stable Wi-Fi connection near both devices. Also, make sure your Roku TV is up to date and has the Chromecast app installed. You can also connect your Chromecast device through the Roku TV’s HDMI port.

Once you have all those things ready, the first thing you need to do is turn on your Roku TV and Oculus Quest. 2, so you can connect them to your Wi-Fi. Make sure to download the Oculus appon your smartphone and follow these steps:
Important: Make sure you connect both devices on one wireless network common for this to work smoothly.
- Using your phone, open the Oculus app and tap the Cast icon ( Wi-Fi Waves headset) in the top right corner of the screen.
- Grant the permissions the app asks for.
- You can find your VR headset under Cast from list. It will also list the VR headsets near the area. Select the device name of your VR headset to connect.
- Turn on your Roku TV and go to Cast to on your phone.
- Select your Roku TV to try to pair the two devices. It should show “Connected” below the name of your Oculus VR headset.
- Tap Start at the bottom of the screen and properly wear the headset to accept the indication in VR. Once accepted, you can finally start streaming.
But what if your Roku TV or other smart TV doesn’t support Chromecast? ? You can use your Android smartphone as a source, and in turn, your content can play on your Roku TV. Here’s how you can do it:
- Turn on your Oculus Quest 2 VR headset .
- Open the Oculus app on your Android phone and select Share.
- Choose Castto start casting on your smartphone.
- Then, start a screen mirroring connection from your phone to your Roku TV by going to Settings > Smart View.
- Select the Roku TV from the list of nearby devices.
- To confirm the connection, select Allowusing the Roku remote.

Now you can stream from your Android phone to your Oculus VR headset and mirror all content to your Roku TV. Although it’s more tedious than the other method, you can still apply it if your Roku TV isn’t compatible with Chromecast, or doesn’t work properly with it.
