1. open gmail in any internet browser on your mac or pc.
2. In the left sidebar, you’ll see all your folders, including your general inbox. scroll down, if necessary, and select more.
3. Click on the spam folder. this will be labeled with an exclamation point icon inside an octagon.
4. Any messages currently marked as spam will appear in this folder. these will be deleted automatically after 30 days.
quick tip: you can delete spam messages one at a time by checking the box next to the message and clicking delete forever. or you can do it in bulk by clicking the blank checkbox in the top left to select all messages and then selecting delete forever.

1. open the gmail app on your iphone, ipad or android device.
2. select the three lines icon in the upper left corner to open the main menu.
3. Scroll down, if necessary, and tap spam.
4. Your spam messages will appear in that folder.
quick tip: To delete all your spam messages at once, tap empty spam now at the top of the page. or, to delete a single message, touch and hold the message, then select the three dots that appear in the upper right corner of the screen and select delete forever.
how to prevent emails from becoming spam
You can report emails as spam or set up a filter to prevent messages from going to your spam folder.
report emails as “not spam”
1. Go to the gmail website on a mac or pc, or open the gmail app on your phone and sign in to your account, if necessary.
2. go to the spam folder and open the email you want to move to your main inbox.
3. Select report no spam at the top of the message, whether you’re using the desktop website or the mobile app.
4. If this box doesn’t appear on mobile, tap the three dots in the upper right corner, then select don’t spam.
after a few instances, this will also teach gmail not to mark messages like this as spam in the future.
set up a filter
1. Open the desired email.
2. Click the three dots in the upper right corner of the email.
3. select filter messages like this.
4. set your filter parameters and select create filter.
You will have the option to filter by sender, subject, keywords, words not contained in the message, size and status of the attachment.
