resident student mail & package delivery
mail services deliver incoming mail/packages to the receiving desks at teresa hall, st. andre apartments, mary hill/hilltopper heights apartments, hunt hall, le mans hall and johnson hall daily between 2:00 p.m. m. and 3:30 p.m. m., Monday through Friday. mail/packages received by mail services before 1:00 pm will be delivered that same afternoon. mail/packages delivered to mail services after 1:00 p.m. m. will be delivered the next business day between 2:00 p.m. m. and 3:30 p.m. m.
packages from
basil moreau hall, jacques dujarie hall, casa y casitas will be delivered to the smart lockers inside the quick dip, located in fondren hall. Once the mail staff checks the packages into the locker system, students receive an email to their seu email with a 6-digit code and instructions on how to pick up their package. students have three days (72 hours) to pick up their packages from the smart locker system. after 72 hours, the packages are collected and taken to the reception of the student’s residence. after 7 days, the packages are returned to the sender.
**During times of high volume of moves, please allow up to two business days for mail and packages to be processed and delivered to the front desk of each apartment/residence.
mail addressing/processing
mail services uses the official residence register of students of the seu to classify mail and packages. Once a mail carrier (or Amazon controller) delivers the mail/packages to the mail room, the mail services scan each piece of trackable mail into a software program. The software enables mail services to track when mail/parcel is delivered to the mail room and when it is picked up or signed for delivery at an apartment/residence reception or smart locker. all mail/packages must include the student’s first and last name. mail and packages sent to names not on the resident student list are considered undeliverable and will be returned to the sender/sender.

fresh deliveries
mail services cannot guarantee timely delivery of fresh, time-sensitive deliveries such as groceries, flowers, and foodservice deliveries. students are responsible for coordinating delivery with the delivery service provider. deliveries must be made directly to the corresponding residence and left at the reception or outside the door of the residence.
send outgoing mail & packages
mail services offers outgoing mail and package services through usps, fedex and ups. Mail and packages should be packed and ready to ship when delivered to the mail services. mail services offer the following free shipping envelopes & checkouts mail services accept payment via credit, debit and apple pay. mail services do not accept cash payments at this time.

Outgoing mail in a postage-paid or postage-paid envelope can be deposited in the outgoing mail slot in the drop boxes located in the express access area or taken to the mail services on the first floor of the building of operations, office 104.
tips for students and parents
- when ordering on amazon, please do not include your apartment or room number in your address. To ensure your package is delivered to you safely, please address your package using the format shown above. mail services is not responsible for packages that are not processed and delivered by mail services.
- for missing or delayed packages, please call or email mail services at (512) 448-8588 or mailservices@stedwards.edu to verify that the package was received.
- always include a return address on all mail.
- if you ordered bedding or a care package through our campus marketplace (ocm), please contact their offices at 1 (866) 847-7365.
- Residents are responsible for updating their addresses with the us. uu. post office and university. to update your address with the university, visit the “permanent address” task center on myhilltop.
- students should contact mail services when waiting for medications that require refrigeration to arrange for prompt pickup.
- Resident students are encouraged to track critically important mail such as passports, credit cards, medications, eyeglasses, etc., via signature confirmation, certified or registered mail.
- Avoid sending anything of monetary value via USPS Standard Mail.

In line with our sustainability efforts and to avoid large amounts of paper waste on campus, Mail Services has simplified the procedure for sorting out unsolicited or junk mail you receive. “spam” is unsolicited standard mail that is addressed to an “occupant” or “resident”. Once received from the United States Postal Service (USPS), “junk mail” is removed from the delivery process and recycled.
students who receive unsolicited catalogs or other spam may remove their names from mailing lists by visiting the data marketing and analytics (dma) website.
