How to create a website and upload to godaddy

GoDaddy has several templates generated from your chosen industry. However, to create a website that’s right for your business, you need to design the pages, sections, images, and text to match your brand style.

Add your images

To add an image to your website, click Update to the right of the image. Feel free to browse available stock images or import images from your computer or social media. When you find an image you like, click Insert. Remember to add alternative text to describe the image to users.

To edit an image, click on it. An editing menu will appear on your screen, allowing you to add filters and effects and crop.

You can also add your company logo. To do so, click on the name of your website. Then click Upload or create a logo to select one from your computer. When you select the Insert button, the logo appears. You can now click Done to proceed to the next step.

Add your text

This step is quite simple. Click the sample text to highlight, remove, or add it. There are several text editing options available, from italics to bold, numbered lists, bullets, and size.

Don’t expect to add new text boxes to your website, though, as GoDaddy doesn’t allow you to do so. Click and drag the text boxes. You can only add a new section, which allows you to change the accompanying text.

Adding New Sections

Your The website comes with a few sections, including Header, About Us, Contact Us, Privacy Policy and Terms and Conditions. To make it unique, add more features such as menus, blogs, calendars, social networks, videos and photo galleries. To do this, click on any of the plus (+) icons on your dashboard. You can also remove sections you don’t want.

GoDaddy allows you to add up to 20 sections per page and change elements in the header and footer areas. However, you will not be able to add more headers or footers.

To change the title or subtitle, click the existing text. And if you want to replace the header image, click on the image itself, then on the Cover Media button. Then click Change Image to add images from your computer or a collection of stock images. There is also a feed that allows you to describe this image.

To edit your call-to-action (CTA) button, tap the button itself. A submenu will open, where you can edit the text of the action, link to a website URL, and change the position of the button.

But no Don’t stay there, as visitors expect to find information like your contact information and links to the terms of service, privacy policy, and social media accounts in the footer of the page. So it’s good that you update it. Click Accent to change the background color and enter your information in the fields provided, detailing your Business Name, Address and Phone Number . Next, click Social Accounts to connect your accounts to your website.

Add New Pages

Having included text and images in different sections of your website, it is good that you create a page structure that suits the needs of your business. To do this, click on Website in the upper right corner of your dashboard. You’ll see how your pages are structured.

To add new pages, click the plus icon (+) in the Site Navigation menu. You can rename, duplicate and delete the created pages. Also, you can add external links and dropdown menus. And if you want to reorder the pages, click the icon next to the plus icon (+).

GoDaddy too allows you to set selected pages as private, blocking content for specific users. For example, you can set it to open only for users with a code, link, or account.
