Google is the biggest driver of traffic to websites. So you really need to understand how to get your content to rank high in the search results for your target phrases.

SEO is an entire industry unto itself. The most important thing to focus on after creating a new website is producing high-quality content that answers search engine questions or needs as quickly as possible.

See which articles rank in the top rankings. top spots for your topic and unpack how they are better than the ones below. The page title, headers, structure, and even the URL are very important. The number of authorized links to the article from other websites also plays a role.

    2. Post to Twitter using hashtags

Twitter is an amazing marketing tool for website owners. One of the best ways to make your content stand out is to use hashtags that are relevant to your audience.

A handy and free tool like Hashtagify lets you search for hashtags you’re considering using and see popular related hashtags.

From these results, you can find known hashtags to add to your tweets; just be careful not to use too many tags. Two or three is better to avoid looking spammy.

If you don’t have time to spend on Twitter, consider using TweetDeck to schedule and plan your social media content for the coming week.

    3. Sharing Links in Facebook Groups

There is probably at least one active Facebook group related to your topic (use the search field on Facebook). And because they’re already niche-focused, they’re a powerful way to build a loyal audience and traffic quickly.

Many groups offer ways to share their content with others, for example by posting links on specific days . . If you are sharing your content, it is important to be authentic when creating a conversation with other members and never just send spam.

Feel free to share your website in my Facebook group Start a Website.

I also recommend creating your own Facebook group to complement your website. It means you have full control over it, and you’ll soon attract new members looking for the topics you cover!

    4. Join Pinterest Groups

Pinterest is one of the most underrated methods of increasing traffic to your blog.Interacting with other users is guaranteed to increase visits to your website, as long as you use the right strategy.

A Pinterest group board is one with multiple contributors. It usually has a small icon of two people in the bottom right corner. Group boards tend to have more followers than regular boards, which means more people will re-pin your content and visit your site.

To find group boards in your niche, check out PinGroupie. This free tool reveals how many subscribers and pins a board has. If you want to join a group board, you’ll usually need to email the Pinterest account holder to get an invite to pin to that board.

    5. Comment on popular blogs in your niche

Set up Google Alerts to email you related phrases when blogs post on a topic you can comment on!

    6. Facebook Ads

For example, in Save the Student we might target Facebook users who are on college, live in Manchester, interested in donuts and single.

You can start with as little as $10, but I appreciate that most new bloggers aren’t in a position to spend right away ( unless you are already monetizing your site). So this is something to keep in mind.
