How to change your font in your google inbox emails

I have selected my default font (Arial) and size (12), and these work for first para. and signature.

In between everything changes to Calibri 12. How come? and what can I do to keep continuity throughout each email?

I understand that in the middle of writing an email, your font type changes to another font type.

We would like to ask few questions to investigate the issue:

Does this issue persistonadifferentcomputer?
Haveyoutriedsigninginonadifferentbrowser?
Did you set up your email formatting via Outlook.com options? If not, follow the steps below to know how.

1. Sign in here

2. In the upper-right corner of the page, click the Cog icon.

3.Click More mail settings.

4.Under Writing email, click Formatting, font and signature

5. Set up your desired emai font name and size.

Don”t know about different computer, don”t use oneSigned in on IE and it was perfect and never changedI had already set up my email settings option using Mozilla Firefox, but I did it againAlthough the print in the preview box shows my choice of Arial 10, the font name in bold is Calibri and I cannot select Arial (as in seeing it Bold or with a dot next to the name, as I can in my signature preview box.I thought it was magically all solved despite not being able to manually select my choice of font, tried a test email, and when I went to add a line above my signature, the font changed to Calibri 10, like this reply here, which appears to be the default for Outlook.I just tried once more before I send this and now it works perfectly, so who knows next time?

Hi,

There’s a possibility that you have clicked your signature that is why it follows the font setting you have for your signature. Kindly make sure that you are clicking and typing on the line above the signature so the font will not change.

I have the same problem, my font even changes sometimes when I hit the space bar. Can”t you fix this glitch? It never happened with the old Hotmail.Jim

I am sitting here just shaking my head, Jim… totally agree with you.The problem continues for me almost all of the time and I have simply given up on getting a real answer. You see the ones above.I either change it if it”s an important email, or explain to friends that it”s out of my control.I use Gmail for all of my own business communication, and find it totally trustworthy and efficient.Strange how this never happens there or on BigPond email service, and as you say, never before on Hotmail.All I can say is… hmm. Seems we must grin and bear the ever-growing gremlin invasion.Suggest the Outlook people get out there and look – maybe even find some furnituremaisak.com!Christine

Open the folder where the where the sample email was stored.Hover the mouse on the subject line of sample email in the message list and thenright click on it.Click theView message source option on the drop-down menu. You will see a new window containing the e-mail message headers and its content.

Kindly copy all the information fromof the message source and paste it in your reply to the private message tab we created for you.The red link for the private message should be found above your initial post after you have signed in to this page.
