image of the signature in your yahoo mail, amazing!
If you’re a heavy user of yahoo mail and want to add a professional look to your emails (or maybe you just want to add a little fun and creativity to your emails), then you’ve stumbled upon the right article.
this will show you how you can add images, photos or logos in the signature part of the new yahoo mail. you won’t believe how easy it is to do.
by the way, in case you find some vague procedures here, feel free to comment below. I’ll be happy to help you.
Anyway, let’s get to it!
Important update (February 2020):
It has been noted that the latest version of yahoo mail no longer supports adding photos in the signature via settings. however, the old method of adding the signature will still be detailed in this article, should they bring back the feature.
You will then be followed by a new, albeit manual, method of adding your photo signature to yahoo emails.
how to add image in yahoo mail signature
1. besides being in the yahoo! mail page, the first step is to click on the gear symbol or the options (located at the top right of the page). this will bring up a drop down list; just select the settings.
2. after being directed to the settings page, select and click on the write email tab. from there, you will now be able to edit your email signature.
go ahead, write the text portion of your signature! after that, you can proceed to the next step. oh, make sure this is selected in the options: “display a rich text signature”. you can see the photo below to guide you.
3. the next step is to copy the image itself. you can do this by opening a file using any web browser. (in my case, I used google chrome). right click on the image and select copy image.
4. go back to the signature tab editing space and paste the image you copied there.
5. wait for the photo to load successfully. if nothing appears, it may mean that you were unable to copy the image correctly (ie the clipboard is empty). you can go back to step 3 if this happens.
6. if all goes well, the photo will load fine. then the final step is to click save, and voila!
The next time you compose an email, the signature will be inserted automatically. And it means your email will now look more elegant!
latest method to add photo signature on yahoo
As noted above, yahoo mail no longer supports the automatic addition of photos in the email signature portion. when you try to perform the steps elaborated above, nothing will happen when you press the paste button.
As a remedy, what you can do is follow these steps:
1. enter the text part of your signature (if applicable) via the method above. Although adding photos is no longer supported, Yahoo still has the ability to add text-based signatures. there is no need to click save because it automatically saves everything you type.
2. you can now continue writing your email by clicking back to inbox > to compose. after clicking compose, you will automatically see the part of the signature text that you typed earlier.
3. you will now manually add the photo portion of your signature by copying and pasting the image where you want it to appear. you’ll have to do this every time you write an email.
To illustrate, let’s say I want my logo to appear after the text portion of my email signature. I right click on the photo I want to include in my email signature and then click copy or copy image.
Paste the image right after the text part of your signature, or anywhere you want the photo to appear.
You’re ready to go, and your email will look more creative or professional depending on how you select the photo and the overall look of your signature.
The main difference from the newer method is that you must manually add the photo portion of your signature. this means you have to do it every time you write a new email. Let’s just hope yahoo brings back the old feature, to make it easier for us.
Anyway, I hope you enjoyed this tutorial!
common questions and problems
Q: Why won’t my photos display or load?
a: yahoo mail is automatically blocking photos from external sources. you can try to enable the “always show images” option. follow this tutorial: yahoo tutorial on how to allow images.
I’ll update this part once some common issues come up.

good morning
I tried to insert a logo in gif format, but the image does not appear, and when I have to create a signature after clicking on settings, I have to go to “accounts” and then “edit details” (click the email account text box) and even after enabling “always show images”, the signature image is still not displayed. please help!
thanks in advance!

it is possible since I could have mine. maybe the FAQ was outdated. sorry about that.
but you still need to enable photos to see photo signatures. 🙂

gday and thanks or your time and response
I clicked the link you suggested and found this:
Can I add an image to my signature?
It is not possible to add an image to your email signature.
At this time, it is not possible to add an image to your web signature. if you want to send an image with an email, you can send the image as an attachment.
is this correct? as I see lots of images in people’s signatures. thanks!

@joanne t ferguson
a possible reason the image is not showing is that yahoo mail is blocking it. so make sure you enable the “always show images” option.
here’s how: http://help.yahoo.com/tutorials/mmail/mmail/mm_oth
if this doesn’t give you the answer, you may be “copying the image url” instead of “copying the image” itself. Hopefully, I was able to get these two suggestions right. if not, feel free to message again. have a nice day joanne!
