what is my email address? Typically, your email address will be firstname.lastname@cameron.edu. however, sometimes students have the same name and that address is already in use. subsequent email addresses have been digitally added to have different email addresses. there are two places where you can see if your address has a trailing digit.

aggieaccess click on the my information tab click on “update email addresses” in the my personal information channel. your email address will be included in the cu student email.

gmail click the gear icon in the top right and choose mail settings. click on the accounts tab. you should see your full name reply address set as default.

why do I see my initials+id@cameron.edu?| your gmail account is set up so you can log in with the same account information you log in to aggieaccess and campus computers with. your initials+id is actually the name of the account. however, since that’s not what you’d like other people to see or send your email to, we have an alias set up that uses your full name email address and set that as the default reply-to address when your account is created .

How do I forward my campus email to another email address? step 1: log in to your cameron account log in with the username and password you also use to log in to campus computers and aggieaccess.

The username of all your accounts is made up of the first initial of your first name, the first initial of your last name, and > last six digits of the student identification number.

example:

name: john s. calculate

student ID number: 000123456

username: jc123456

To create your initial password, go to aggiereset.cameron.edu and click “reset password.”

You will be asked to verify your identity using the three security questions you provided on the application form, or the code that will be sent to the cell phone number you provided on the application form. .

Important: The password you create for this account expires every 120 days. You will receive a notification in your student email account 12 days before the expiration date of your password to give you enough time to change it.

Once you create your initial password, you will be able to access aggieaccess, student email, computer labs, etc.

Step 2: Go to your email settings at the top right of the email screen, click the options gear icon and choose “mail settings”.

Step 3: Access the pop/imap and forwarding settings Click “pop/imap and forwarding” in the settings menu at the top. then click the “add a forwarding address” button.

Please note: If you choose to redirect/forward your email to another address, you do so at your own risk. the university will not be responsible for the handling of electronic mail by external providers. You remain responsible for reviewing and responding to official university communication sent to the @cameron.edu account. having email redirected/forwarded does not relieve you (the student) of the responsibility associated with receiving official email communications.
