Lithium metal cells and batteries (non-rechargeable) and lithium ion cells and batteries (rechargeable) may be mailed in limited quantities domestically via air or ground transportation when installed or packed with the equipment they are intended to operate. unless otherwise excepted, lithium metal and lithium ion batteries (without equipment) may be mailed in limited quantities domestically by ground transportation only.

  • Lithium metal and lithium ion cells and batteries installed or packaged with equipment may be mailed via air or ground transportation.
