Millions of Californians will receive state stimulus checks worth up to $1,100, but your zip code will determine when your payments will be sent.

More than 7.3 million payments, valued at $5.1 billion, have already been sent as part of the golden state’s stimulus program ii.

And California Franchise Tax Board officials say they expect to write about nine million checks in total.

Officials began posting stimulus payments to residents with zip codes ending in 585-719 beginning Nov. 29, and will continue through Dec. 17.

To qualify for the stimulus payment, Californians must have filed their 2020 taxes by October 15 and have an adjusted gross income (AGI) of $1 to $75,000 for the 2020 tax year.

They must also have lived in the state for half of tax year 2020 and be a resident on the date the payment is issued.

It is not yet known if payments will continue once the final batch of checks has been mailed.

But, a tax ruling from the 1970s could see Americans getting a cash raise in 2022, according to the New York Times.

State voters approved Proposition 13 in 1978, which limited property tax increases.
