zoho provides single sign-on and so once you log in to any zoho app, you can directly access the other apps in the same browser using different tabs. Both organization users and personal zoho users can log in to zoho mail using this link.

organization user login: first time login
organization administrators create users from the control panel using the add user option.
The administrator provides the initial password for the user when creating the account from the control panel. Users logging in for the first time should use the login email address and password information provided by administrators and log in from this link. after logging in, users can change their password from the accounts section.
personal user login
Personal users would have chosen the email address and password when creating the email account for themselves. personal users can also use their phone numbers provided during registration to log in to their accounts. they can login to zoho mail with the credentials they entered.
control panel login
An administrator or super administrator of the organization can log in and access the control panel from mailadmin.zoho.com. they can enter their zoho account credentials and access the control panel. alternatively, if they are already logged in to their zoho mail account, they can click the control panel link from their profile.
sign up for zoho mail – domain based business account
zoho mail provides email service for business accounts to get custom domain-based email addresses for all users in your organization. To sign up for a custom email address based on a domain, such as email@example.com or firstname.lastname@example.org, choose any of the plans on the Zoho Mail pricing page and click sign up for the plan.
If you want to sign up and need a custom domain based account, you must have the necessary permissions to access the domain’s dns manager. The entire email hosting process for the domain is explained on the help page for setting up email hosting.
sign up for zoho mail – personal account
whereas zoho mail is designed specifically for business purposes and for users who need a personalized email address with their own domains. but we also understand that there may be users who want to use it without their domain or use it for personal purposes. For the latter who do not wish to create a domain based account in zoho mail, the email address will be in the format email@example.com. You can register from the home page by following these steps:
Choose Personal email, from the signup section.
- You must choose a unique username to create the account.
- provide your mobile phone number; will be used for verification.
- make sure the mobile phone is accessible and active to receive messages, during the registration process.
once you provide the required details such as username, password and mobile number. Once this is done, a confirmation code will be sent to your mobile phone to verify ownership of your mobile number. on successful verification you will be redirected to your zoho mail account. You will only be able to send emails from a verified account.
register – information required
When signing up for a zoho mail account, you are required to provide us with certain personal information listed below. this information is necessary to protect your account.
You will be asked to enter your first and last name when registering. this name is displayed by default to everyone you interact with through your zoho mail account.
The email address you provide will be the email address used to log in to your zoho mail account. this is also the email address that will be displayed on your outgoing emails by default.
- Your email address must be more than 6 characters and less than 30 characters.
- The email address can only include letters, numbers, underscores (_), and periods ( .)
You will be prompted for the password you provide each time you log in to your zoho mail account. the password must include a minimum of 8 characters. To keep your account secure, choose a strong password.
providing and linking your mobile phone number with your zoho email account helps us keep your account secure. you will be prompted to enter your mobile phone number and then re-enter it to clear any errors.
- This registered mobile number can be used to enable two-factor authentication, adding an extra layer of security to your account.
- You can also use the mobile number registered as your recovery phone number in case you forget your password.
In zoho, you can sign in with your google/yahoo/facebook account and create an account to use zoho services through federated login. when you want to set up and use a personal account in zoho mail, you need to choose a zoho username to get an account firstname.lastname@example.org.
You won’t need a separate password for zoho and you can use federated login, as long as you use webmail only.
however, if you want to access via pop/imap or active sync, or use email forwarding, you need to generate and use the zoho specific password.
Follow the instructions below to set up federated login and generate your zoho account password via accounts.zoho.com.
- On the login page, click the forgot my password link.
- enter the details of the registered email or mobile device , type the captcha and click request.
- select your choice for password reset mode, i.e. if you want a link to be sent to you reset button via email or have a verification code sent to your mobile phone number.
- by clicking the reset link or entering the verification code, you will be redirected.
- enter a password and click change.
- You can now log in with this password.
