Finding Fantasy Owners To Trade With
You are going to have owners who sit on their teams and don’t trade with anyone. Some owners will be actively looking to trade, and then you have the owners who are throwing unfair trades or countering with ridiculous trade offers. Don’t be the last owner, that is a certain. If you are actively looking to trade, you will need to find a partner. For this example, we will say Team A has excess wide receivers, and needs a running back. What you need to do is first is have somewhat of a wishlist of the players you want. Remember to be realistic. You are going to need to find a series of Team B’s who have a handful of running backs that they can give away. This is where you can find teams that have the opposite of you in strengths and weaknesses where teams can make something work for both sides.
Some owners will be looking to trade for players who are red hot, as they believe they will continue at a high pace. If you have a player who is producing record numbers, regression is coming. If you can get a solid return on a player who is desperate to acquire the red hot player, you can offer up a sweet trade or list him on the trade block. Also look at rest of season schedules to help assess the players involved. If you see a player struggling based on matchups because they have faced three top secondaries in four weeks, that owner might be looking to move on despite an easier schedule coming up. Take advantage of hot and cold players as owners will get frustrated and want to move on.

There seems to be more of a bias for players in dynasty football, as they have an outlook of more than just 16 games over the course of one season. How will that player perform three years from now? Is this player going to have this high of a stock in a year from now? How will incoming players affect them next year? These are all questions dynasty owners ask themselves when evaluating trades and players overall. Owners will be looking for value in players where they are also trying to gauge markets for players.
