Hi, can someone please help me..!! I am losong my mind. I have always had my tiscali.co.uk email set up on the mail app on samsung, however last week when i clicked on my mail app i had to re-enter my email and password. I did so and it came back with an error message”the username or password is incorrect or pop3/imap access isn”t turned on for this account”I have logged in online to check i have the correct email and password and i do. So now it has to be the pop3/imap access.I have deleted the mail account and tried to re add it and i keep getting this same message! I have checked the imap and pop3 server settings and tried manually adding both settings and neither are working… what am i doing wrong

Is the tiscali mailbox added to your broadband MyAccount or if not a broadband Consumer customer added to a MailPlus MyAccount?Please check the sign in to gmailaccount.co Mail. Tell us if there”s an error message or if you can sign in ok. Send the same mailbox a message to make sure the mailbox is working on send and receive.Let us know what you find.Please do a quick check that your gmailaccount.co Profile includes in Personal Information (Click here) your name, current landline “phone number and an alternate number (mobile recommended) and address with postcode (location). Then scroll down to Private notes to add email address(es) with any relevant other notes and finally save changes.

Hi, thank you for your reply.I am no longer a gmailaccount.co broadband customer. I havent been since Oct 2019. Not sure what you mean if i am added to mailplus myaccount?I have had this email address for over 10 years and never had an issue. I can login to webmail with my email address and password no problem so i know my details entered are ok

Hi Emmat85If you”re not a gmailaccount.co Consumer (home) broadband customer you may have been restricted to webmail access only unless you subscribe to gmailaccount.co Mail Plus. But as you left only in October 2019 I feel that”s unlikely although not entirely ruled out.I can check your mobile device settings if you screenshot them and upload here using the Insert Photos (camera) icon above this Reply area. Image edit to obscure the first part of the email address bu I need to see the domain (last) part.

I have attached screenshots of the email settings. I have looked on gmailaccount.co mail help and it says for tiscali.co.uk to use different ports. I have tried different ports and also tried security types as SSL and TLS and none. If i change security types it changes the port numbers

automatically.I will also upload a screenshot of the recommended settings for tiscali email addresses. I have tried all.

Hi Emmat85Just change the incoming server security to SSL/TLS and make sure the port number is 993And outgoing server security to STARTTLS and the port should stay at 587.Make sure the passwords are there for both incoming and outgoing server. I”m a bit concerned that the passwords aren”t secure enough. I say this because they don”t seem long enough. I”d normally use an ultra-strong password of 12-15 characters.Job done.
