7 Free Christian Magazines (Print & Online) – The Scribe&039s Portion

If you’re like me, who enjoys reading a good magazine, then this list is for you. I have compiled a list of 7 + 1, free Christian magazines. Because magazines are great reading material, but even better when they’re free, right? There are many free print and online Christian magazines, but the ones I’ve included here I’ve personally been reading for years and would recommend. Read on to find out where you can subscribe to these magazines.

1. acts & facts

This monthly magazine published by the Institute for Creation Research is an informative Christian scientific resource. Contains over 20 pages with bright, full-color pages and eye-catching images. Articles written by Christian professionals address physics, animal and human biology, and earth sciences in light of scripture. If you have ever wondered how God’s hand is at work in nature and science, then you will enjoy this magazine. I have been reading this magazine since high school and can attest to how beneficial it has been to both my faith and my studies. The Institute for Creation Research is known for its goal of proclaiming and proving the existence of God and the creation story through science. because science and faith go hand in hand, and if you don’t believe me, I recommend you pick up this magazine and find out for yourself.

2. beyond today

bt is published once every two months. each issue has 40 pages with full color images and is published by the united church of god.

bt is a magazine with articles on current world events with biblical explanations related to end times prophecy. There are also articles on church history, Christian living, short Bible studies, and devotionals. I have been a subscriber to this magazine since high school and can say that the articles are very informative, concise and biblical. They also have a free literature library that you can request. bt is probably one of the best known free Christian magazines and with good reason. I recommend this magazine to Christians who want to read solid biblical articles that are relevant to today’s world.

3. christian history

ch is a quarterly magazine published by the institute of christian history. each issue has approximately 50 pages with beautiful full color glossy pages. the images are absolutely amazing – it has the best quality pages and images than all the other magazines mentioned here. ch isn’t exactly free, as it’s available via donation. however, you can download the electronic format for free.

The title says it all, ch is a Christian/Church history magazine. each issue has a theme, and judging by their archives, the topics covered are broad. Some of the topics above include church fathers, famous preachers, Christian movements, the reformation, and many more. you can also buy back issues. the information provided is invaluable and extremely interesting (if you’re a history junkie). the articles are professionally written. I love that they include timelines, images of classic and famous paintings, and a book recommendation section at the end. Although this journal is academic, I can see how beneficial it can be to both the layman and the Bible student.

Even though I’ve only been a subscriber for a couple of months, I’m hooked on this magazine and it has easily become my favorite. I highly recommend Chap.

4. levitt’s letter

the levitt letter is a monthly magazine published by zola levitt ministries. each number has about 35 pages. ll is a messianic magazine whose objective is to support the state of israel by maintaining the hebrew roots of christianity. All articles expand from current Israel news, scripture-related archeological finds, short Hebrew word lessons, explanations of Biblical holidays, history, recipes, devotionals, and sprinkled with cartoon jokes throughout the issue. This thought-provoking magazine is perfect for Gentiles who want to learn their Hebrew roots in the Christian faith.

5. the philadelphia trumpet

pt is a monthly magazine published by the philadelphia church of god. issues contain approximately 35 full color pages. it is very similar in content to beyond today, but leans more towards current world events in light of scripture and prophecy. They also have a free literature library where you can order booklets on many topics.

6. the world of tomorrow

tw is published once every 2 months by the living church of god. issues have 35 pages with full color images. it is also very similar to beyond today. It has news sections related to the United States, Canada and England. tw also features articles on history, Christian living, prophecy, nature, science, and devotionals. They also have a free resource library where you can request brochures.

7. voice of the martyrs

This is a well-known ministry that provides help to persecuted Christians around the world. While the vom bulletin report isn’t exactly a magazine, I thought it would be appropriate to include it on this list as the information in this publication raises awareness of the persecuted church. the vom newsletter is published monthly by vom. contains field reports from vom volunteers and ministers in persecuted countries. the testimonials are mostly graphic and sad, but also include reports of praise. presents stories of Christians who live imprisoned, oppressed, tortured and violent. there are also many opportunities to support this ministry. And if you haven’t already, you can order the founder’s (Richard Wurmbrand) free book called Tortured for Christ.

bonus: chapel library

This is not a magazine, but I wanted to include it here because it is a great library of free literature resources. The Chapel Library is maintained by Mount Zion Bible Church in Pensacola, Florida. This ministry has been a great blessing in my life.

The Chapel Library has a wealth of free literature available to readers from classic preachers and Bible teachers. You can order paperbacks, pamphlets, tracts, and even correspondence Bible study courses. They also have a quarterly pamphlet called “Issuer of Free Grace,” which is a collection of various sermons and articles on a given topic. all of these are available in multiple languages, including Spanish. The Chapel Library only publishes literature from preachers of earlier centuries, including: Moody, Spurgeon, Pink, Bunyan, Bonar, Tozer, Edwards, Mueller, Ryle, Whitefield, Illyod-Jones, and Murray, among many more.

Although the literature is free, they include the production cost of each item. they also ask that you order no more than 10 items per order and no more than $20 worth of literature per month.

messiah magazine

This quarterly, full-color magazine is a great recommendation for those who want to learn more about the Jewish roots of the Christian faith. is published by the ministry of the firstfruits of zion. This magazine is perfect for both Gentile and Jewish believers. Article sections feature topics such as Jewish history, Israel news, Bible studies, Jewish traditions, and prophecy.

So there you have it, 8 free Christian magazines and resources that I recommend to my readers.

I am aware that there are many more free magazines out there, but these are the ones I have personally been reading for years and can give my honest opinions and reviews.
