pittsburgh, pa – postal service facilities will be closed for retail transactions on monday, january 18, in observance of martin luther king, jr. party. There will be no regular mail delivery and limited pickup runs will be conducted in Pittsburgh and the Western District of PA encompassing PA ZIP code areas: 150-168 and 260 in West Virginia.
although, there will be no regular mail delivery at the martin luther king, jr. holiday, urgent priority mail is delivered 365 days a year and will be delivered on January 18th. Normal delivery and collection times will resume on Tuesday, January 19.
the postal service requests that customers drop off their mail in collection boxes in front of businesses, on main streets and in front of post offices, early on Sunday, to help collection drivers transport the mail to processing centers before.

The postal service receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to finance its operations.
